Kami has tubes!!

We went in today at 8:30 for Kami's tubes. She did great! She was back there for maybe 15 min. When we went back to see her she was screaming! I felt so bad for her. We finally got to feed her and she really didn't want it, but I also put a fast flowing nipple instead of a slow one. We got to leave around 10:45. She finally stopped crying when we were getting ready to leave. It was so sad every time she burped she would start crying again. Here are some pictures of her surgery:

Getting Nervous!

Kami is going to get her tubes in tomorrow! We have to be there at 8:30. Kami can't eat anything after midnight. How can you tell a 7 month old that she can't eat?! It's going to be a very interesting morning! I believe she is going in to surgery at 9:30 it might be earlier than that but I can't remember right now. They say it should only take 10 minuets to do and when she wakes up in recovery we can feed her, then after about 45 minuets we can take her home. I am going to be a nervous wreck till she is back in my arms and fed.

Ok It's a Day late but here I go:

1. I must travel the world before I die

2. You can't stop believing!

3. I wish I never had to buy diapers, formula, and tampons again.

4. My girls have helped me change my life.

5. I know the song Lolli Lolli by heart.

6. If I weren't so afraid, I would ride a roller coaster.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to Swanky's with Leigh and Mitch, tomorrow my plans include getting my hair done! and Sunday, I want to do NOTHING!

If you were at a friend’s house for a holiday dinner and you found a dead cockroach in your salad, what would you do? Yes, I would tell her but in a discreet way.

If you could put anyone you know on Prozac, who would you choose? Hmmmm Me! haha

How do you feel about public displays of affection? It's ok only if it's kissing on the lips or cheek. But anything other than that, it's too much that's why they make bedrooms.

Christmas is ALMOST here!!! I have one more day of work, only a half a day ;) Then I am on VACATION! I don't really plan on doing much. I might hit a couple of museums and maybe even Chuck E Cheese. But the most important thing happening that week is Kami's tubes! December 29th. Can't wait!!

Manic Monday!!

Have you ever returned an item to a store for a refund after having used it? I am sure I have but the only reason I would of returned it was because it didn't work right.

You are going out for the evening. If your partner objects to what you are wearing, would you change your clothing? Yeah I would. I trust my hubby's judgement.

What item that you don’t currently possess would you most like to have in your home? Oh gosh there are so many! I big screen TV, a new couch, and a coffee table. I'm sure there are more but that is all I can think of right now.

Well today was a pretty uneventful Monday! We are 'supposed' to be getting an Ice Storm coming through here. Last night they said it was a warning that started at 3 PM then they changed it to Noon. Well because of the Ice storm warning the kids got out of school early. So I had to go and pick up the kids from school. {For those that don't know I work at a Child Care Center and drive a van that takes the kids from the Center to school, and from school to the center} It is now 7 and NOTHING has happened! Gotta LOVE Memphis! They always OVER REACT when it comes to the weather. I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. {Which in the past has happened} So me, the hubby and the girls are watching Christmas movies on TV. I am hoping that something does happen tonight so I don't have to go to work tomorrow, but then again I am not because I could use the hours.

My poor baby girl is SICK! She has been so unhappy/whiny today. We got home and all she wanted to be was held. Which is NOT like her! She would much rather be on the floor than sitting in your lap. Her teacher at school came and asked me if she could give her some medicine to see if that makes her feel better. It seemed to a little. When we got home she was the same way. Didn't want to eat her food or drink her bottle. So I gave her some more Tylenol and she seems to be doing a lot better. I guess I am going to end up at the doctors office tomorrow. I knew she was going 'make' me take her to the doctor before she gets her tubes in! Oh and we changed her getting tubes in to Monday December 29th instead of the 31st. Wahooooo!!!!

Well let me get back to my family time!

Tubes For Kami!!

I took Kami to the ENT {Ear Nose and Throat Doctor} for an 8 week check up. I told him that she had at least 1 ear infection since the last time we saw him and I was pretty sure she had another one. Well I was right she does have one. So he said let's go ahead with the tubes! I am so excited! I am so tired of taking Kami to the doctor because of an ear infection. I made an appointment for December 31 {I thought I made it for December 29th so I am going to call tomorrow and check on it}. We have to be there at 6:30 in the morning. NO food or drink after midnight, yeah how do you tell a baby that she can't eat?!?! The doctor said it takes less than 10 minuets to do the tubes. And as soon as she wakes up I can hold her. I am excited and scared about this. I know on December 31 I am going to be freaking out! She's only going to be 7 months!!

Gah! Girls These Days....

They can be and are SO RUDE!!! I pick up kids from Mt. Pisgah. And every once in a while one of them has bad B.O. So I talked to my boss on how to bring it up because I didn't want to point anyone out. She tells me to say did y'all have gym today? And go from there. Here's my convo with the girls:

Me: Did y'all have gum today?

Girls: NO

{There goes my plan out the window}

Me: Ok.......I'm not trying to point anyone out. Well when we get older we sweat and it's has an odor. And sometimes we need to re apply. I carry a stick of deodorant with me at all times. Sometimes I need to refresh in the middle of the day.

Girls: It's not me.

Then one girl says it's her. AND MOVES AWAY FROM HER AND LAUGHS!!!!!

I'm in shock at this time! I couldn't believe she just said that!! She tells her that she is sorry but is laughing after she said it. Gah girls these days! I had a talk with the girl who pointed the other one out and told her how would you feel if she did that to you. That's how she feels now. I made her apologize to her again. I had a talk with the other girl and told her that I was sorry that happened. It wasn't supposed to be like that. I hugged her and told her I was sorry.

I am not looking forward to my girls being teenagers!

Why? I really don't know why. I guess because that's the type of computer my brother built me back in the day and just never changed.
